One bad apple spoils the Bunch, Usually have a great encounter at this marina, but today was a different day. the actions of 1 employee effects all employees. There is one gentleman that has been there for a while, and he may need to find a new profession if he does not like to interact with customers. Have been here many times, Lady in the office very pleasant to me and my boys. Dave, very kind.

Peaceful & Beautiful Location! We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely, be coming back. Very nice Marina with friendly and helpful staff, nice store/office area, beautiful front porch with rocking chairs, clean facilities, washer/dryers - beautiful landscaping with picnic tables and great places to walk yourself and your dog. When checking in, they gave us a very nice goody bag with area information.
Note: There are several restaurants that deliver to the Marina. We enjoyed dinner delivered from Athens - an Italian restaurant that has been serving the area for over 30 years.
All in all, it exceeded our expectations and I'd give them more than 5 stars…if I could.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Stayed just one night after a rough overnight from Beaufort, SC. Even though it was a cold & rainy day we had 3 welcoming dock hands take our lines and help us get fuel and connect our power to the dock. Staff inside were equally warm and helpful - suggesting that we could have pizza delivered to us in less than an hour. Best pizza ever!!!
By the way, we are a 35 foot catamaran. They really did not have a slip for us, but rather than send us away, they let us tie up at their fuel dock for the night. This made docking especially easy for us & lifted our spirits after a particularly difficult overnight passage.
We took hot showers in clean restrooms, did 2 loads of laundry and spent the night eating pizza & streaming videos on the free Wi-fi. Dead calm and quiet - perfect by our standards.
In the morning we thought we would sneak out early, but a dockhand heard our engines start and came out to help. He made sure we got off the dock in perfect form.
Yes, we got the gift bag with jelly. Yes, we look forward to stopping here again.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Nice, well-kept, quiet marina in a remote location. The goodie bag with the pepper jelly is a nice touch, especially since you'll be on your own for dinner with a distinct lack of nearby restaurants or even stores. They make up for what is missing with friendly staff and excellent facilities, but don't pull in here if you're expecting to get to the megamart and stock your fridge. This is just a great marina—nothing more; nothing less.

Our boat stayed at Osprey Marina for about 3 weeks while we flew home to celebrate mom's 87th birthday and take care of some business. We knew our boat was very safe at this well secluded harbor. The staff are friendly and offer free pump outs. The marina docks, bathrooms/showers and laundry are nice and clean. There is a ships store and a fuel dock. We stayed on V dock, which is a long dock in the entryway of the marina and had a little trouble with the internet. They supply golf carts to travel between V dock and the facilities. Unfortunately, there is not a restaurant on site but a friendly marina resident (Bill) is an Uber driver and he's available to drive you to one (as well as the local Costco). We did not go into Myrtle Beach, proper, on this trip due to other priorities. That's ok since we didn't deal with the hassles of Spring Break crowds. We will definitely stay here again!

Osprey is one of the real gems of the ICW. It's a hurricane hole, fully protected from wind and waves. It can be tight if you go all the way in and not use the long face dock but there's no current so mostly no problem, just take your time. Osprey is one of the few marinas still offering a welcome bag along with one of the lowest rates on the ICW. You can have breakfast in the clubhouse area with provided snacks and mingle with the rest of the cruisers - a unique experience. They have fuel, pump out, and a very welcoming staff.

We just spent 2 nights here, and the staff were all so helpful....one of the friendliest marinas we have been to as full time cruisers. The docks were in great shape, power was good, and water pressure one of the best! Wifi spotty, but it has been at 75% of the marinas we have stayed in. Bathrooms could be a bit better, but still okay. Rural, quiet location, complete with begging turtles! And the dockage rates and fuel prices are one of the best on the Atlantic ICW. We will return!

Osprey Marina has an incredible reputation, and for good reason. The fuel price was notably lower than all other marinas up and down the ICW in the area. It's also extremely unique as it's a fresh water marina.
The docks are in pretty good condition and there are lots of dock hands available to help. You also receive a really nice gift bag upon check in. And, you really can't beat the transient rate!
On the other hand, it isn't the most family- friendly marina because there is not much in the area and there is no courtesy car. You are in the middle of nowhere so you will spend a bit of money either renting a car or taking an Uber to the grocery store. The other downside is that laundry will really add up ($4 per load.)
We will definitely return for the inexpensive fuel and dockage, but probably not for the amenities.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

There are some marinas that are icons on the ICW and Osprey Marina is at the top of the list of places you want to stop at. The first attraction is the price, only $1.00/ft! Furthermore, if you stay more than three days, then for the fourth day on, the price drops to $0.26/ft! Pump out is free and the price of diesel was only $2.649/gal, taxes included.
The docks are new ipe lumber, first-rate and they even have a welcome package consisting of locally made pepper jelly, a clip for closing opened bags, an insulated holder for drinks, pecan twirls, honey bun, and even a whistle. They have well-kept showers and two washers and two dryers with a table to fold laundry on. The WiFi is free, of course, and I've measured 10 Mbps at my boat.
On top of everything else, it's surrounded by trees that give the best protection from storms as anywhere on the east coast, zero fetch and very little wind action. Honestly, is there any better marina for the value on the east coast? I can see why the place is always so full.
Meanwhile, we passed through Lockwoods Folly and Shallotte this afternoon with no problems following the GPX routes, at least 8 MLLW in the shallowest spots. I uploaded today's track for others to follow if they want.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The staff here are some of the nicest most helpful folks you will find anywhere. They make it a joy to be at this marina. This is our kind of Myrtle Beach - located in the cypress swamp of the Waccamaw River, the call of ospreys flying overhead, turtles swimming by the boat, birds singing, making for a peaceful setting.
The facilities are top-notch and always cleaned and maintained. The fuel price is always within a penny or two of the best price along the east coast. Save yourself the research time and just plan to top off the fuel tanks here. We have always enjoyed our stays here.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The marina is located about 500 feet east of the ICW. A relatively narrow channel leads you to the marina and fuel dock. Their fuel prices are very reasonable, maybe even the least expensive on the ICW. The staff of the marina are fantastic I had a battery go dead and one of their staff went out of their way to assist me. The marina is out in the boondocks so don't look for a downtown the walkthrough unless you call Uber and have them take you to civilization.
