Nice marina in a good location. Easy walk to town and lots of shops, restaurants and good bakery. Very nice showers and laundry room. Fixed docks are in good shape, but busy ferry service blows horns regularly and doesn't slow down for other boats. Grocery store near the interstate but an easy bike ride.

Marina shares a harbor with Sheplers Ferry service. The ferries don't slow down until they enter the break wall, so be careful when arriving and departing. Busy town full of activity. Staff was helpful with local knowledge. There are loaner bicycles. Several nice parks and beach accesses north of the marina. Had a great lunch at the Keyhole Restaurant, "where the locals go". Bought fresh fish at Kruegars, they also have smoked fish. Docks were in great condition.

Decent marina in a Disney like town. New clean shower and restrooms, new clean laundry and lounge. We took the tour of the retired icebreaker USCGC Mackinaw, very interesting.

This stay an Mackinaw City Marina was perplexing. There was no staff available on a Sunday at 5:00 PM on a high wind, 20+ knots day. The dock assignment was incorrectly described. I was told the dock was the first slip on the backside of the fuel dock. It was not. Upon seeing a boat in the slip described to me on the phone and the high winds, I immediately sought to find an open dock.
We ended up docking into the wind on the long dock with the help of fellow boaters.
We HHC stayed there several times over the last few years. The facilities and docks are clean and in good condition.
WiFi was adequate once I received the password from a fellow boater.
The access to dining and shopping is excellent.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Nice marina in a great location. Busy harbor with lots of ferries. Friendly efficient Dock hands. Lots of little shops and restaurants within a block of the marina. Nice places to walk a dog just outside of the marina.

We spent the summer here for 2020. Always clean and in good working condition. Staff is friendly and helpful. Fun to watch the ferry come in and out, and also right next to Shepler's Marina for repairs and great ships store. Basically right downtown so lots of restaurants in walking distance. Look for us on A dock in 2021. The Straits State Harbor Marina next door is newer with floating docks, but you’ll have farther to walk to the sites.

We kept our 40 ft. trawler here for a few weeks while taking a break from the loop to go home and do some real world stuff. Terrific staff, good facilities and a great location in a town with restaurants, shops and a good marine store. Michigan marinas do not offer good monthly rates. They do a daily rate x the number of days so a bit pricey. But this marina is still half the cost of the one next door. Overall, a great place to stay for a few days but a bit pricey long-term.
