Good wooden floating docks. The transient dock is close to the facilities, unlike many marinas that put them in the back of beyond. Marina is well protected from winds and waves. Secure, with keyed gate. Showers and toilets were good. The phone was not answered on our arrival so we had to tie up first at the fuel dock. The staff member was friendly and helpful and offered assistance with tying up in our slip. Had we known how difficult it was with the relatively short finger pier and small cleats we would have accepted. Restaurant on site, a fairly short walk across the parking lots.

The Fort Loudon Marina is a full-service marina located within bowshot of the Loudon Dam on the upstream side of the Tennessee River. The facilities are well-maintained and clean. They offer laundry, shower, and bathing facilities, and the transient slips have power and water available. They had two 30 amp sockets available to me, so bring your adapters. The staff were easy to contact and very helpful. Ice is available in the portico, and there is a drop box to turn in your transient key after hours. Prices were cheap enough that I don't remember what they charged me for overnight, and diesel and gas are both available. It's about three miles to downtown Lenoir City, so re-provisioning is possible. It would be a gross oversight to fail to mention that Loudon Marina shares the cove with Calhoun's Restaurant, whose barbeque won "Best Ribs In America" in the National Rib Cook-Off. Oddly, there is no dock or sidewalk. You either dingy over to the restaurant dock, or walk around on the connected driveways. I will likely stop here again.

Service at this marina is excellent. Clean showers and restrooms, calhouns restaurant on site, good food and service. Five or six transient slips. 50 amp Power, water in quiet area of the marina with good access to amenities. Staff is courteous and thoughtful. Marina is upscale with friendly boaters.

Transient slips are deep in the marina, past the adjacent Calhoun's restaurant. Gated, so you'll need a key. Self-service pump out at the fuel dock--look on the back of the power panel for the timer that controls the pump. Courtesy car, walking trails, park, laundry. Grocery store, Walmart, fast food, etc all a short drive away.
