Jarrett Bay Boatworks launched a new video “The Tip of the Spear” which takes us along for an insider’s journey to the launch of the spectacularly innovative new Jaruco 90 which hit the water last November.

The video explains what makes the Jarrett Bay 90 the most advanced sportfish boat ever built.

Freed of the constraints of an assembly line, Jarrett Bay builds lightweight, rigorously-engineered boats that deliver cruise speeds in the high 30-knot range and easily attain a top-end of over 40-knots.

The Jaruco 90 was completed and delivered December 2017 hull 62 spans 90 feet and represents the next evolution in offshore battlewagon performance and comfort, designed to tackle the remote fisheries of the world in ultimate style. Carrying 4,400 gallons of fuel, the Jarrett Bay 90 will have the range and speed to travel anywhere — fast.

The new flagship yacht accommodates up to 10 guests in five en-suite staterooms, including a full-beam owner's suite complete with an office — a rarity among sportfish yachts.

Jarett Bay Boatworks constructs custom, cold-molded wood sportfishing yachts up to 118-feet in length, as well as semi-production composite sportfishers measuring 33-feet.

You can check out the live webcam to see these boats kiss the water and take off for new adventures. Every 10 minutes from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. EST the live webcam should perform a pan from the haul-out basin to the slips out on the ICW, back around to the yard, and then back to the haul-out area.

Jaruco features advanced build techniques, utilizing titanium and carbon fiber composites, such as a carbon fiber bridge, cabin, decks and stringer system, as well as a cold-molded wooden hull. Substantial weight has been saved, which will lead to easier handling, fuel efficiency and increased range. Extensive virtual tank testing, actual in-water tank testing and a detailed weight study have been completed to optimize her performance.

The cockpit has been left open for reeling in the catch of the day, while the flybridge is ideal for spotting potential catches from afar and a hardtop Bimini means that guests relaxing in this area will enjoy plenty of shelter from the sun when needed.

Power comes from a pair of 2,600hp MTU M96L diesel engines, which will draw on a total fuel capacity of 17,700 liters, while her maximum draught of 5.6 feet means she should be able to reach a wide range of fishing hotspots.

Jaruco is the second project over 78-feet to be completed by Jarrett Bay Boatworks in the past two years after the launch of the 87-foot Blank Check.

Our one-of-a-kind custom construction process allows us to finely balance our customers’ needs for fishing performance, fuel efficiency and luxury – all while never sacrificing the legendary Carolina ride.
