1 – MM 84 Alligator River Marina to close December 1st

With construction starting in earnest on the new bridge, the marina will be fully occupied with workboats from the construction crew. There will be no room for transients. However, there is the possibility of a delay, so call ahead if your plan includes a dock at the marina. The Alligator River Bridge has been up and down all week. Be sure to call ahead for the current status.

2 – MM 238.2 Browns Inlet is being dredged.

The dredge Wilco is at Browns Inlet through 12/15/2024. Take care due to the narrow path of good water and contact the dredge Wilco for passing directions on Channels 13 or 16. The ATONs may not match your charts while dredging is underway.

3 – MM 296.6 Snows Cut at 9.8 MLLW

9.8 MLLW may sound like a lot, but you must do a slalom course through the west end of Snows Cut to find the deep water. The Bob423 track shows the way.

4 -MM 517.8 Ashepoo – Coosaw Cutoff at 4.0 MLLW as of 10/3/2024 at the southern exit

A very narrow path of 4.0 to 4.5 MLLW water must be followed to avoid shoals to 3 MLLW and less. The Bob423 track is shown as a blue dotted line avoiding the shallower water on either side of the exit.

In the middle of the Ashepoo Coosaw Cutoff, you must swing from side to side to find the deep water, as shown by the Bobr423 track in blue. There is 6.8 MLLW along one side but only 2.6 MLLW along the other side.
