MM 240.7 Onslow Bridge Construction

  • From 11/4 at 7:00 a.m. to 11/7 at 9:00 p.m. the new bridge will be in the closed-to-navigation position.
  • From 11/11 to 11/15, the new bridge will be in the closed to navigation position from 8:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the old swing bridge will open on demand between noon and 1:00 p.m.
  • At all other times, the bridge normal operating schedule will be followed. See link for details.

MM 320 Lockwoods Folly Approach Shoaling

Multiple boats have hit bottom here in the last week at near low tide.  Follow the Bob423 track dated 11/4/2024 carefully for 7 MLLW, which goes outside the channel. There is less than 2.4 MLLW if you stay in the channel.

R36 is reported to be off station to the northeast, so don't depend on the ATON for judging how far to move outside the channel.

MM 536 Ladys Island Bridge at Beaufort, SC

All summer the bridge only opened on top of the hour. The bridge schedule is now on top of the hour and half hour. The schedule is still being evaluated for whether the change will be permanent.

MM 729.2 Nassau Sound Dredging

Dredge buoys may interfere with the Bob423 track shown as a blue dotted line. A captain provided his track this week as a black dotted line that avoided all buoys. Just swing wide around the Bob423 track for safe water.
