The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), the world's largest in-water boat show, opens today in sunny South Florida. Running from October 30 to November 3, the show is set to dazzle attendees with a vast array of vessels and marine products. The event is produced by Informa Markets and owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF).
Spanning nearly 90 acres and three million square feet of exhibit space, FLIBS is conveniently located just steps from the beach and features a sophisticated network of water taxis and shuttles connecting various show sites. This grand maritime event is expected to draw over 100,000 visitors, showcasing products ranging from luxury superyachts to essential boating accessories like sunglasses. More than 1,300 boats will be on display with exhibitors from 52 countries participating.
FLIBS not only offers a stunning display of marine craft but also hosts a series of educational seminars aimed at enhancing boating skills and knowledge. Highlights of this year's seminar lineup include "Boating to the Bahamas" by Robert Brousseau and Isaac Burgos, knot tying techniques with Captain Aaron Stasiak of The Qualified Captain, a children's fishing clinic by Captain Don Dingman of Hook the Future, and "Women on the Water: Fishing 101" by Leiza Fitzgerald of CCA Florida STAR.
