Man Island
- Location: North Eleuthera
- Lat / Lon: N 25° 32.333' / W 076° 38.486'
- Depth: 7-10 Feet
- Tide: 2.0'-2.5'
- Description:
The anchorage is sufficiently deep that it is often used by mega-yachts that wish to give their guests a beach day. There is a wooden dock at the north end of the anchorage, but Man Island is uninhabited. At the south end of the island there is an attractive sand beach. There is good holding in sand and the protection from north through southeast is very good. Even though the anchorage is open from all other directions it is surrounded by shallow water which does not provide an opportunity for waves to build. It is not an ideal candidate, but there are worse places to ride out the passage of a cold front. In settled conditions the anchorage is a wonderful alternative to the hustle and bustle of the main harbour in Dunmore Town.
