Florida ICW: St. Mary's River to St. John's River, FL
Cruising south on the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) boaters enter the mouth of the Amelia River and the State of Florida at Mile 714. As you cross the St. Marys River and enter the State of Florida you will notice a change in the characteristics of the ICW.
Georgia’s long, open sounds and wide rivers gradually transform into a series of creeks and rivers connected by narrow land cuts, and you will see much more development and boat traffic will increase. For the 370 or so miles to Miami navigational aids are plentiful and marinas and urban centers intensify as you travel south.
