Easy access & kind people to help with tie up. Highly recommend this Marina !
That said... I will never head out to the Piggly Wiggly again! Dangerous, scary, aggressive and not worth the venture and that's mid day. This town has changed for the absolute worst!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Dock hand who helped us was a woman who was super helpful and friendly. Pretty easy in / out on a face dock. Nice ships store. Restrooms were in good order with no issues. Lots to see within walking distance. Be aware that many shops, restaurants and the maritime museum are closed on Sundays. We would definitely return.

This was my second time staying at this marina; the first was in Spring 2022 on another Captain's boat. I generally like the marina's location -- a little out of town with a pleasant walk in a residential neighborhood to shops and restaurants. There are private restrooms with showers, a laundry facility, and a nice Captain's lounge. Parking is on a long dock that runs parallel to the river. It's a no wake area so wake is not an issue, although the current can be strong.
On this visit, there was no one to meet us at the dock or even provide instructions by phone or radio on where to park, one of the restrooms was out of order because of a broken door, and when we went to shower there was no hot water at all. (When we told the dockmaster in the morning that there was no hot water, he didn't seem the least bit concerned or apologetic.) Another boater tried unsuccessfully to get a pumpout. These are maintenance issues and I don't know why they aren't taken care of. It left me embarrassed, after telling my companion what a nice, out-of-the-way marina it was. I stayed at Harborwalk on my last visit to Georgetown and would likely stay there again next time.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Just spent 5 days at Hazzard Marine in Georgetown SC. Reeve caught our lines upon arrival but all our other contact with the marina was with Susan. She was very friendly and extremely helpful. She even found us a sunrise Easter Service to attend nearby when I inquired. This marina has nice clean shower/restroom facilities, Captains lounge with TV and books and laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers ($1.50 to wash/$1.50 to dry). A 1 to 1.5 mile walk will take you past many historic homes into downtown with its shops, restaurants, bars, Maritime Museum and Kaminski House Museum. Most of the restaurants back up to the riverfront walk with back decks and we enjoyed strolling along the riverfront for boat and people watching.

Georgetown is a must-stop for almost everyone who travels the ICW. Great location, nice amenities, friendly
old-south style town. Almost everything within walking distance. There are a few marinas in this harbor and all are good. HAZARD MARINA is just the right size, friendly helpful staff and all the slips have easy access.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Stayed 4-6 May. Booked a transient slip with Susan who was very helpful. They allowed us to dock near the fuel dock for two nights and were very easy to deal with. Facilities were fine, and laundry facility was very nice. Great help in docking and providing info about the town. Georgetown is a short walk down oak/Spanish moss residential streets to the historic part of town. Charming and historic town with lots of historic registered homes. Recommend a stop.

Friendly, competent staff. Cute town to walk and get a meal. Cheap diesel.
We overnighted side-to on their $1.75/ft transient dock and filled our tanks.
We will be back!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
