Sackets Harbor Navy Point Marine. Three nights 6/1/2024 to 6/3/2024. The harbor is a natural harbor protected from the prevailing winds off Lake Ontario. The marina occupies the site of the abandoned Navy Yard. There are an overwhelming number of sailboats which have access to the Black River Bay and east to Lake Ontario. Facilities are in one building and consist of a restroom with showers. Vehicle and pedestrian gates offer coded access to the marina. Adjacent to the site of the Battle of 1813 of Sackets Harbor and its downtown. Downtown has numerous eateries, stores and several museums. A walk around Sackets Harbor will give the feel of history, circa 1800's, it represents. The Fargo Village market is about 1 mile walk from the marina.

Came here for a 2 day stay. Craig and his staff were very helpful diagnosing a complicated bilge pump/high water alarm system problem. They found the parts and worked many more hours than they billed for! (Thank you)
Sackets Harbor is a historic port where the US Navy built wooden ships and a critical battle site of the War of 1812z. They also have several great restaurants……great stop on the loop!

Very nice marina and the new owners are making lots of improvements. There is a tiki bar and gas grill area as well as chairs and picnic tables. Laundry is cheap at $1 each. Showers are fine but could use a little TLC. Restaurants and the Battlefield are walkable. There is a liquor store that will deliver to the marina!

A great stop! The marina and their staff are terrific. The town is close by, easy walking distance with places to eat, drink and shop. A couple of nice museums. This is an easy place to spend time. As a transient I was welcomed to join the season slip holders at the BYOB tiki hut to watch the sunset and share stories and adventures.

This is a great stop as you transit the lake. For AGLCA members, Bill, AGLCA Harbor Host, offers a warm welcome and offer of assistance. Customer service and accommodations at Navy Point Marina are excellent. The town has an interesting history, excellent eating opportunities, super ice cream shop and is easily walkable.

The approach is uncomplicated. The small town is pleasant, with several nice restaurants. Docking is slightly difficult for a larger boat, however. The fairways between the piers are narrow (around 45 feet), and the slip widths are also narrow. So if your boat is long and wide, you might have difficulty, as I did, on backing into one of the slips on the first three piers. The solution is to go to the fourth pier, where there is about 150 feet of side-to docking. There are also three T heads. Electric power is good. Wifi is good.
