Part of the Albemarle Loop and 48hr free dockage. Glad we spent two days here to learn about Edenton history and provision with courtesy truck. Also used truck to drop used oil from oil change at AutoZone. Be sure to do the trolley tour ride ($12.50). Never did find the $1.50 ice cream. Pilings with new docks. Lots of fetch so be sure to protect and monitor vessel movements. Shower with toilet was fine. Friendly and helpful staff. Extremely dog friendly. Delightful welcome bag with peanuts and local info.

Recently replaced docks. Decking and pedestals in like new condition. Docking orientation is essentially East/West and while the entire harbor has a break wall there is some exposure to southern winds and post break wall waves from the 9 miles of fetch. Outstanding staff. This marina is located in the downtown area with lots of things to visit and places to eat, drink, and shop. Take the trolley tour and see this beautiful and historic town or watch the Steamers play a local game. A courtesy truck is available which makes provisioning quite simple.

Edenton is a lovely town, with colonial homes, restaurants, $1.50 ice cream, history, and a variety of shops. It's definitely a highlight of the Albemarle Loop! Dockage is free for two nights at new docks, 30-amp power is $3 a night, and they have a courtesy truck, super helpful staff (one even disposed of our old refrigerator), and a gift bag with good info and a snack! If they could improve one thing, it would be the showers; the water could be hotter and the floors cleaner.

Called and was told slips are closed and NOT operational at this time. No ETR. Suggest calling first. Only slips in Edenton (According to person on this number) is the Edenton Marina. NOT Edenton Harbor. ???? Good Luck.

A 'must stop' on the Albemarle and well worth the side trip off the ICW.
Do the docks need some maintenance? Absolutely. Are some of the finger piers short? Yes, but not all. Is the courtesy car a bit rough around the edges? Yup, but hey, they offer one and it appears to have been a cop car in a previous life. Come on, how cool is that?
A couple of inconveniences pale in light of everything else about this town. Be sure to seek out Mark and take his electric boat tour of the area. Most enjoyable.
EVERYONE is so friendly in town Several pubs/restaurants to choose from as well as an outstanding coffee shop. The town is so very very rich in history. Spend a few hours on a self guided walking tour and you'll be amazed.
We are looking forward to stopping by again next year.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

No pumpout is available; was told it has been broken for 3 years. A real problem for the cruiser counting on this posted amenity.

Town of Edenton is a great small town. It is unfortunate the town has not kept up with maintenance of the marina. Some pilings are almost rotted through and there are several finger pier boards that are missing or rotted. Definitely a safety issue.

This is a free town dock right in the heart of Edenton. We enjoyed our two nights there. They even have good power and water for free. The dock has short finger piers, so getting our German shepherd on and off was a bit of a challenge the first night, but we moved just inside the T-head the 2nd night, which gave us the whole T for getting the dog on and off. Some of the boards are not in good shape and one finger pier is dangerous, missing several boards. Loner finger piers in better shape would have made the rating a 5 star. Restrooms were right there and clean, with a security code for the door. Wonderful town for walking and the location can't be beat. They even have a courtesy car that you can take to the Food Lion one and a half miles away. Very handy, if not in great shape. Take the trolley tour, visit the lighthouse, stop in the Penelope Barker House. Restaurants within a few blocks, dog friendly area, great walking. Don't miss it!

This is a very small town but worth the trip. They also extend free dockage to boaters if you are doing the “Albemarle Loop”
