We stayed lastnight. Sorta scary looking as we looked where to park, rough concrete wall with exposed rebar where the concrete is broken. That worked perfect for tying off. Little path to the parking lot of the casino and off to the casino we went. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Overall, it was a good experience.

This is the nearest place to Harvey lock where a recreational vessel can stay overnight. It is next to the parking lot for the casino, but it is clear that the casino does not see a dock as a potential way to attract clients. There are no tie down points on the rusty one foot wide bullhead that you can reach from the boat. You have to get on the bulkhead and feed your line through one of the few holes. To get to the casino you have to make a short jump from the bulkhead onto a levee overgrown with 6' weeds. The casino mows to the top of the levee, but not to the water edge. There are restrooms and a restaurant in the casino. The casino meticulously maintains its parking lot, so could with little additional cost make this a much better overnight stop.

It's free but at what cost. The area is shallow, the tie up is just rusty metal and there is no protection from weather or traffic. We took one look and decided that Boomtown does not want boaters business and quickly left.
