Sign says 2 hour limit, daytime only. I arrived at 5 and need some supplies bad. There was some guy over here on his bike immediately when I dock with his phone out. So I said hello, asked about the walk to the grocery store and then set off to the store. I arrived back at 7pm put my stuff on the boat and was going to use the bathrooms when and the local police were pulling in! He said they had a complaint that I was there!!!!!!!! No big deal, the officer was only doing his job and was really nice. I told him I just got back and was heading out to anchor so all was good. Moral of the story though, don't spend your money in St Simons if this is how the people act to boaters on a free dock!

Have stopped here on several occasions. Limit is two hours. We walked to get groceries but it is a long walk. Also stopped to just get off boat and take a walk on shore. Washroom is just a very short walk. This would work to take a dog also for a walk. Dock is solid floating and depth at dock is good for sailors also. They do not want you here for more than two hours and we actually had visit from municipal employee to make sure we did not linger. Nice to stretch legs after day of cruising here. People fish from dock so need to be respectful of them fishing. Have has pleasant conversations with them when visiting here.

This is a maybe 45' dock on the end of a fishing pier, limited to daytime use for 2 hours or less. We stopped to catch a ride to Winn Dixie ( 1.7 miles ) for groceries.
The current moves fast through here, but the floating dock seemed solidly built. Our 38' trawler was fine for the short time we stayed.
There's not a lot here, but if you need a spot to get stuff ( I'm told there's a West Marine close, too ) it's fine.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
