This bridge does not operate at night. Be sure to call in advance, but it is business hours only ( I forget the exact times) and you need a 4 hour notice. We ending up circling for about 6 hours, waiting for a 9:00 am time, with the smell of the coffee roasting plant tormenting is all night.

  The US 90 (Danzinger) Bridge, mile 3.1, shall open on signal if at least two hours notice is given; except that the draw need not be opened from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
