Holding was very good, as we had sustained winds of 15-20 knots from the NW and we didn't budge an inch. The bottom is what I would classify as sandy mud with some weeds, more sandy than muddy. There are 3 or 4 mooring buoys belonging to an association that take up the best locations, but since we were the only other boat finding a good spot wasn't a problem. The protection is pretty good, but it appears that a NNE wind could be a problem if you're not tucked far enough to the SE. The anchorage is beautiful, and beaches are accessible by dinghy.
