No communication and way over charged, Ill just tell my story and you judge... On Wednesday I called, told them I needed the motor mounts and cutlas bearing replaced, along with a shaft alignment. They said bring it in tomorrow, Thursday 8:00 am, I brought it in and had to leave to go back to work in Tampa. When I left, I asked for estimates, and part specifications before they started working, I wanted to confirm the specs of the parts. I received no calls, no emails, no communication, I left voicemails and never got a call back. I had to call 2-3 times a day to get any feedback. One week later they told me they just ordered the parts and I would be charged 76$ a day while waiting on the parts... Then 5 days later they said it was ready, I dropped it in the water on Tuesday, about 13 days later. The total cost was 3900$. They charged me 1155 dollars for "lifting the motor" 11 hours at 105$ an hour... The parts were relatively cheap, and lifting, blocking, and dropping were reasonable.. but, for real, if you take it here, order your own parts and do your own work. They were friendly but an absolute rip-off. This job shouldn't have been more than 2500$ and maybe taken 2-3 days at most.

Marina Response:
Good morning, Mr. Sessa,
Thank you for your input. We only get better with feedback from our highly-valued customers. We are sorry to hear that you feel your experience with us was short of expectations. I can assure you we strive to maintain the highest level of customer service. Upon review of your file and the scope of work for which you hired Sea Love, we maintain the following: Simply stated, you brought your boat to us because the certified Yanmar dealer would not be available for 3 weeks. You asked us to verify his diagnosis, which we did, and your parts were ordered within a week of your arrival because we were awaiting your providing the exact parts you wanted. The subsequent delay came from the supplier. Secondly, our call logs, and that of the General Manager’s company cell phone, show multiple outgoing and incoming calls with you daily to keep you abreast of the progress. For clarification, you were not charged lay days while awaiting estimates for other services you were considering from sub-contractors while we were not actively working on your boat. You decided against those services, and we launched your boat. Regarding the lay days, your final invoice shows that you were only charged for 3.5 out of the two weeks your boat was here.
We strive for every customer to leave the yard happy with the work they received. Each job is unique and the hours it takes to complete is often not known until a Tech starts on the job, through completion. Thank you for your review and this opportunity to address your comments. We will take your feedback into consideration. Take care and be safe on the water!
