Limped in to get hauled after wrapping a lobster pot, and they were able to haul me the next morning during peak season. The approach and creek looks almost impossible, but it is wide enough all the way and mostly 9' deep on a lower tide. Extremely sheltered from nasty Sound winds that can build. Very accomodating and good dock service. Stayed first in June 2020, liked it so much I left the boat with them while I flew to the West coast to see family, and was so happy that I did it again on my way to Maine, summer of 2021 also. Note there are 2 Strongs on Mattituck creek. This is the Yacht Center, and the other location at the end of the creek is the fancy resort. docks are a little tired but functional, and this is more of a working yard. Call ahead for availability. They seem to normally be full ,so had to put me out on the t-heads on the creek, but there are no wakes to bother you. Mattituck is about the only place to duck in from Orient to Port Jeff, and if you encounter bad Sound winds, this is a very sheltered and intimate spot.
