Free Dock Review for Jim King Park at Sisters Creek Marina

Excellent stop. No facilities. Floating dock fit with large cleats. Along-side ties only. Space availability is based on how courteously people tie; close together means room for more boats. Fills up by abt 1600 during migration periods. Often, other boaters will help new arrivals get tied up, but you need to be prepared and able to do it without dock help. Current can be strong, which makes coming and going "interesting." Excellent place for "slow boats" (6-7 kts) to stage for St. Augustine.

Anchorage Review for Cumberland River - Floyd Creek

People were crammed into other anchorages, but we had this all to ourselves. Winds on St. Andrews Sound were 15-20, gusting to 30, but in here, things were fine. Holding is great with plenty of swing room. Anchor came up in the morning with chain clean and a little mud on the anchor. In and out are easy. Currents here are "average" for the region, and NOT a problem for a properly anchored boat. Verizon cell service was 3-bar.
