I just completed a 3 month refit of our 38' Bertram from sportfish boat to treasure dive boat at Heritage Boat Yard and Marina. I have nothing but high praise for Sally Gooch and her crew including her sons Joey and Jason and all their yard hands. It's a great do-it-yourself yard with a great welding and canvas shop (run by Joey) a lift that works every time on time (run by Jason) competent sub-contractors and good accessibility to parts (Marine Connection is 1 mile away, West Marine is less than 3 miles and Apple and Turner hardware and metal supply stores are just on the west side of town). It's not fancy, but you can get your project done and get your vessel back in the water if you stay at it and that's what a do-it-yourself boatyard is all about. PLEASE NOTE: There are two business entities working out of this same location. Make sure you talk to any of the Gooch family at Heritage and you will be well taken care of.
