Anchorage Review for Royal Island

Draft: 7.0'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:4Current Flow:5Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:5Anchored out halfway between the RoRo dock and abandoned jetty. We did put out more than 100ft of chain. Comfortable with the slight roll from 20+kt south winds. Eight yachts comfortably anchored to the west, protected from the swell. One catamaran did leave late afternoon after not being able to secure their anchor. Did not expect to go ashore as the docks are private and the remaining shoreline is pretty crunchy. Easy access to Meeks and Spanish Wells, depending on your launch/dinghy and the winds.
