Bridge comment on Snake Creek Bridge

It seems each time we travel Snake Creek and try to reach the bridge tender, we cannot make contact until we are right under the bridge. We have done multiple radio checks both ocean side and bay side with no issues, from several miles away. Not sure why this bridge can seem to hear us but we can’t hear them. Seems like a tx issue from the bridge VHF.
