Anchorage Review for Port Jefferson Harbor

Anchored here north of the mooring field as indicated on the chart and got kicked out by the Town of Brookhaven patrol boat claiming we were in the mooring field. We were north of the pumpout barge? Town is very unwelcoming, no dinghy dock so now way to go into town. Tried the water taxi and they just seem to only work when they want despite there published hours. Same people who run the launch service to the paid mooring balls but they refuse to come out to an anchored boat. Won't be back.
