Three waterfront restaurants on the north side of the bridge, one on the south side. Fuel stop on the north side as well.

There is a nice marina to refuel at on the south side of the bridge if you are too early for the opening. Fuel station closes at 5pm though.

If heading northbound you must exceed 6.5 to 7 kts speed to make the next 30 minute opening at Indiantown Road.
The Indiantown (SR 706) Bridge opens on the hour and half-hour.

Three mooring balls float south of the little island property of state park. They are exposed but worth the stay if you can’t get to Rodriguez Key like us one night. Easy access from Hawk Channel. No real access to town. One ball is very close to the island’s pretty beach area and wooden dock. We had just a few inches of mud and sand under our 5’ keel. Not bad for the price - free.

Two Dangers - the channel has an s curve and 50 feet off the dock are rocks so take the charts seriously. New Marina and Hotel Resort in 2016. Restaurant is good. Harbor master Mike is friendly. The hotel rooms are clean and staff is courteous.
