The proper name of this bridge is Ashley River Memorial. If you refer to it as the US 17 they will not know what you are talking about.

Please note that even though the posting says that the bridge opens on signal, you still have to give them 12-24 hours notice.

  Per the bridge listing, the CFR's state that a 12 hour notice is required between 4 pm to 9 am daily. There is no mention of a 24 hour notice.
