Marina Review for Tidewater Yacht Marina

First, the marina was able to accommodate us on short notice (on Harborfest weekend) when our reservation was "misplaced" at another facility. Then we had engine trouble and the dockmaster comped our stay for the last night while we waited for parts. The marina has a brand new shower/restroom (in addition to the existing one), the docks are wide and uncluttered, the staff in the Ship Store was exceptionally friendly, and the restaurant had good food and amazing views. We will definitely go back there!

Bridge comment on Palmetto Park Bridge

The opening under the bridge is extremely narrow, so expect strong currents. If your vessel is lightly powered, when running with the current, be sure to avoid being carried into the bridge or being carried by eddies into the concrete walls and docks along the sides. During weekends and particularly in season, many small boats mill around the boat ramp next to the southwestern bridge abutment at Silver Palm Park, adding to the confusion. This is usually a very busy area and extra caution should be taken.

Just made our annual visit and it never disappoints. Clean facilities, professional and courteous staff and nice, wide docks. Good security and amenities were within walking (or ferry) distance. Can be noisy due to adjacent concert venue and the shipyard but, on the other hand, this is THE best place to stay if you plan to attend a show at the Pavilion.
