A 40'+ boat was already anchored at the first bend. So, we anchored about 200' - 300 off the GIWW in 7' of water with plenty of swing room. Great holding with a mud/clay bottom. Good wind protection. There were a few wakes from passing boats. We spent two nights due to an approaching storm. No place to go ashore. Good cell service. This is a good place to anchor.
