Bridge tender said he needed six hours notice and even then he might not be able to open. We thought about anchoring in the small night on the south side of the channel just before the bridge. But decided to go on to another place instead.

We have a draft of 4' and touched on the way in. It was 1 1/2 hours prior to high tide with strong east winds. Enter between no wake sign and shore nearest bridge. Once you get in there is about 9' of water. Very protected. There are crab pots so we used a stern anchor as well as our bow.
