Nice places to dinghy to the beach. A couple boats used the beach to put up tents and camp. We love the scenic view and the beautiful sunset from the gulf. Definitely coming back.

We had 1 other boat in this space that anchored over a half-mile away. Good holding in a mud bottom. Minimal tidal current for a pass like this. Watch your charts to stay outside of the shorelines very large low tide shelf of 2 feet and less! Well Protected from north and south; decent protection from east. Minimal protection from pure west winds.

Lots of room and one corner or another will provide wind protection as needed. Are some flats boats about but nothing big plowing through anchorage. No amenities except wilderness. Surprisingly no bugs yet (late april). Irma stripped the trees and knocked over more than a few but didn't see any changes to depths in anchorage or obstructions. Cell was spotty and seemed to depend on phone. Some were showing 4G and I showed 1x for connectivity ;-) Came through Big Marco River to get there and it is without any new issues (had a +1.2' tide and saw nothing under 5.2' ) as always the issues are at the bridge in Marco and exiting at Coon Key in Goodland.
