We were visiting friends in Cape Coral and I always make a point to scout out for anchorages when I travel without a boat. This anchorage is great! Close to many shoreside businesses.

This is a great anchorage with great wind protection. Shore access is good but finding a suitable way to lock up your dinghy is tough since there aren't cleats, I looped a cable under the piling. Be careful on the approach at low tide, we had less that 4' especially at the last Red before the canal, then it drops down to 9'

Really nice little protected anchorage. Stores close by, public dinghy dock, etc. Looks like they've done some dredging—we came in at low tide with a 4.5' draft and didn't see depths below 9" in the canals with the basin around 11'. Our mast height is 43' and so we easily cleared the 55' powerlines.

Go here. It's the most protected anchorage with the most facilities I've ever seen.

While here, make sure to stick it to the house near the entrance with the white sea Ray type boat docked outside, tiki hut bar on the dock and radio blasting 24/7. He does this to drive out people who anchor here.

It's truly a great anchorage. But this clown bought a house here and decided he doesn't want the anchorages he bought waterfront property at.

So let him have it. He started it. We should finish it.
