Hello ICW sailing community. I wanted to introduce myself as we have a house along the ICW at the Little Marsh Island anchorage also known as Blount Island. This anchorage is right off the St. John's rivers about 2 miles from the Sisters creek dock.

We want to offer our floating dock for you to use while you stay at this anchorage. Especially in times of very bad weather as many come here to this anchorage as it's fully protected from all wind angles. It's plenty deep with nice sandy bottom. There is a sandbar at low tide closer to the houses about 100-150 yards away, which if you are taking a dingy ride to the floating dock to be aware of.

Pretty much every evening here we see dolphins feeding and the sunsets are wonderful. Sometimes we get manatees and turtles.

If you'd like to arrange anything, you can contact me at +1 904 465 5232 by text or on WhatsApp. My name is Bobby and wife Mary. My father, Bob, and mother, Kathie, are here as well.

Some sailors have used our address to have food deliveries shipped to. I can share by text if needed. We can also help and arrange filling you up with water from our well and anything you may need while you are here. Others have also needed devices charged up so please just let us know if we can help on your travels. We can drop our boat and come pick you up to if your dingy isn't working and need assistance getting ashore.

If you dingy over, many also just like going on a walk or run onshore. There is a paved neighborhood road you can stretch your legs out on. Walk around the house on the right side (quickly move past the bee hives) when you walk towards the right. It's 1 mile to the end. Additionally, we have two bikes if you'd like to ride a beach cruiser bike. Dog people. Feel free to bring your pup with you. Just clean up their poop and throw it in trash cans on the left side of the house. If you need fuel and don't like paying marina prices, bring your jugs ashore and we can arrange to drive you up 6 minutes to the local gas station.

My wife and I are waiting to pull the trigger and buy a sailboat or trawler in the coming years. We have loved meeting those who have come by and look forward to one day joining you all in our future icw, Bahamas and world travels. Your sailing stories inspire us. Safe travels as you come and stay at this anchorage.

We usually tie up at Sisters Creek free dock, but it was full when we came by. As we were weary after a long day, we dropped the hook here and enjoyed a peaceful night before continuing up the St. Johns River. I would not hesitate to return here.

November 9 2021 easy good anchorage. Have anchored here on several occasions. We like it here with only moderate current, moderate depth, and usually not many wakes. Neat to see big ships transiting the river especially at night. Room for many boats. It's location is good for overnight before even transitioning the river or going back on the ICW. Lots of swing room and holding has been good all the times we have stayed here.

Perfect overnight anchorage for us with a 7’ draft. Plenty of room for others but we were alone at the end of May. Didn’t think we could get into the free Sister Creek dock and much better and bigger than the anchor across the channel from them. Decent wind protection from east and west, not much traffic and zero after 6pm. Anchor stuck well with 70’ chain.

I have anchored in this location several times and have always found it to be consistent 9 feet. Be respectful of the property owners that align the shore. In this day and time not being respectful can and will lead to another anchorage being stripped from our use. I make sure I anchor east of the main channel.
