We enjoy this anchorage quite a bit as it's a bit further from Spanish Wells entrance and has much less boat traffic and usually much fewer anchored boats. Good dinghy access to the shallow areas outside Royal Island or west and North of Russell. The Sandbar Beach Bar has great food and drinks. Check their Facebook Page for opening hours and food/drinks specials daily. Remember although the beach is public up to the high water line there is no public access to the road. Please be sure to patronize the Sandbar restaurant if you use their property. Also, the owner asks that dinghy's be left to the east of the restaurant (right side near the swim float markers as you come into the cove) so the larger tour boats can come in without an issue, especially if you are leaving the dinghy there and leave their property. It's over a 2 mile walk to town from here.
