We went half way between the designated anchor symbol and the Inner Bull symbol to get more wind protection during a cold front in late October. Make sure you have current depth info as there are very deep holes and shallow areas within a few feet of one another. Tour boats go by in fair weather as does small fishing boats but calm after sunset. Excellent T-Mobile coverage and TV reception. This creek can hold several boats along a mile or so up from the ICW. Enjoyable surroundings with decent wind protection.

Excellent holding in mud. some tour boats and small boats zip buy in daylight. Might be worth putting up your anchoring Ball dayshape for safety. The professional captains will know what that is.

This year I went farther up Bull Creek and waited out Elsa. Next morning I moved back here to rest and let the weather settle.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I almost didn't anchor yet when I read John's review it resonated. My sailboat has less draft so when I see a larger boat with deeper draft saying good things, it means something and I'm so glad I stopped here. I recommend dropping the hook right on that circular shallow spot in the middle, that way you have depth under the keep and don't need as much scope out to worry about your swing. Lots of room for a number of boats, if you don't mind going a little deeper upstream. Will stop here again in transit. Regards, Franyo

Beautiful place to drop the hook. Peace, quiet and pretty.
