I don't like it here. I feel to exposed to river traffic. That said, there's a good 6' 8" of water OUTSIDE of the green channel markers on the north side of the channel, so that's where I'm anchored. I've got a stern anchor out and I'm well lit.

I'll probably make it through the night, but I won't anchor here again unless it's an emergency. I just feel too exposed to giant towboats.

We stayed at Edna 2. Was nervous about staying on the river. We set anchor in about 6'of water and our buddy boat rafted to us. They dropped their anchor also to help against swing. We held good the whole night.

Easy to set anchor, good holding, anchor came up fairly clean. We have AIS and used the anchor light. The barges that passed only rocked the boat gently. Great sand beach for the dog and to stretch your legs if so inclined. The light winds 5-10 kts cancelled the current but we did not wander. We held a 45 degree angle away from shore all night. 1-2 bars with Verizon.

We dropped the anchor in 6.7' water downstream of the 1st green can RDB, 80' of chain 100-150' offshore and outside the channel. 10mph wind
