With the current so strong in the St-Lawrence Seaway, we were worried about finding a safe place to anchor. In the vast Baie de l'Île de Grâce (Grace Island Bay), we easily anchored into a muddy bottom where we were very well protected and surrounded by aquatic vegetation. We entered by the Corbeaux Channel while being mindful of certain (well-indicated) spots that were shallower. With the beginning of the long Canada Day weekend, there were many motorized pleasure boats, but by 8:30pm, we had the extremely calm bay all to ourselves.
