There is a decent current with the tide so make sure you set out proper rode so your boat can rotate positions with the current and the anchor continues to hold fast in the muddy bottom. It is a beautiful location and very peaceful with waterfowl to keep you company. There is no shore access with marsh grass on either side. It is a wide location so there is plenty of room for boats although we were alone the second night. I would anchor there again.

Three boats were here this evening. Room for more. Anchor set no issues came up fairly clean. Holding seemed good but we only had light winds. Almost no traffic passed us here. Typical open Marsh anchorage. Good Cell service and TV reception . Not to far to launch ramp if you have a dog.

The holding is great in mud. It is low marshland in all directions but still provides good wind protection as there is very little fetch in any direction. The current does run strong through here so you will point into the current, not the wind. The boat ramp offers great access to shore and the road leading to it makes for a great and scenic dog walk. The stars here are so bright! Some of the darkest skies we've seen south of NC.

The little dock is an easy floating dock which makes it a snap to tie up and walk the dog or the kids down a scenic country road. Plenty of space to anchor with the current. Decent T-Mobile coverage.

Not much wind protection and watch out for the crazy, racing current. Our anchor wrapped around our keel at the tide change.

Lovely, easy access, typical tides/currents for the area (a lot). Great stop for dogs.

Great holding through a mild cold front. Decent wind protection is provided by low marshes. This is a very beautiful area with great sunsets, lots of dolphins, and the Milky Way at night. We had 2 bars of T-Mobile LTE, 3-4 bars of AT&T LTE, and 3 bars of Verizon LTE. New floating dock by the boat ramp is great for dog walks but there is no access to shopping on amenities.
