If you venture up the creek to this anchorage please be aware that there are crab pots everywhere. Also, due to water depth it is best to enter from the ICW end as opposed to the Bull River End. If you come from Bull River come at high tide and stay to the outside of the curves. from the ICW end there is Deeper water most of the way. While at anchor my anchor let loose because the crab pots forced me to use less rode. Be careful. The bottom is gooey mud. On a positive note there is a ramp and a long public dock by the bridge. Further under the bridge is a marina. The Publix is just behind the Marina. My opinion, this anchorage is for lesser draft water craft but is a nice area to get away from the city.
