If you continue round the first bend, just past the orange mooring ball there - is 20-22' @ high tide. Good holding , quiet except for occasional open consoles. Unless the wind is howling across the channel, lots of room for our 49' to swing on 100' chain

The holding is good in mud and shell. It is pretty deep (20-25') so it can be a challenge to anchor where this marker is but there is a wider spot if you turn to the south instead. There is a lot of current so most of the time you will point into the current. There is a small oyster shell beach at the junction with the ICW but be very careful as the shells are sharp, and at low tide the mud can be unstable.

Swift tidal current. Excellent holding in sandy mud, avoid the deep spot on the corner and pick your spot based on wind direction in 18-20' MLW. No shore access. A few passing small-boat wakes. Easy in and out from the ICW, charts are accurate.
