Be careful to avoid shallow sands outside of the anchorage. Once in the anchorage area, there is good protection from ENE to SW. Good holding.

The saltwater creeks that flow through north part of the cay are stunningly beautiful. With the right light they positively glow. Can get quite shallow at low. Easy beach access.

We recently spent three nights north of the mooring field on the other side of the peninsula riding out a strong SE wind. The anchor held well.

Its a beautiful location. Exploring the water channel into and through the cay was interesting and filled with wildlife. Check out the "Washing Machine" and Camp Driftwood.

Good protection from winds out of the East and South. Lots of sand and six mooring balls are also available. I prefer this anchorage over South Shroud, less crowded and better protected.
