Depths are 2-3 meters. Excellent protection from easterlies, especially NE-E. Anchor in front of beach or north. Stay away from south or risk the current from current cut. Beach on the east side is pretty with lots of sand flats. Not much in town but locals are friendly. One small general store was not open during posted hours. A few churches and a post office/library.

The swell that originates from the cut is really bad. You can go north a good way before it gets to shallow for anchoring and you may get some relief from the roll up there. Holding IS excellent though.
