We anchored in ~30ft in the indentation just above the sandy beach. Less current than we expected, as an eddy swirls upstream here, but the boat barely moved all night. Very easy landing the dinghy on the bank. The tows are on the far side of the river to navigate the curve, so we experienced very little wake. A passing tow offered that we were more than out of the way for them. We'd stay here over the local alternatives.

Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:3Holding:4Wind Protection:3Current Flow:4Wake Protection:3Scenic Beauty:3Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:3Pet Friendly:3Cell Service:2This anchorage looks very nice. On the inside edge of a turn, tows will be on the opposite bank, aiming for a point that is upriver from this anchorage. Good sandy beach with good depths, especially at the downstream end of the bank. Okay wind and wave protection from most angles except from the SSW where fetch may be a problem with winds higher than 15 mph. At the downstream end of the bank there is 15 foot depth 75 feet from shore. Take Fido ashore and run him up and down the bank. There is room for two to three boats in a line here. There is no cell reception at all here.
