Unfortunately, the pockets were occupied so we took a turn to starboard and went further up Mill Creek to Green 7 and anchored at the mouth of Spring Cove on the opposite side of the channel in 13 foot MLW with excellent holding in light mud. Protection from wind, wake, and current is good and the neighborhood is quiet. The difference between Mill Creek and downtown Solomon's Island, only a mile away is remarkable. If you want to go into town you can take a protected 1 mile dinghy ride and tie up (with permission) to the dock at one of the marinas for shopping or dinner. Grocery shopping would be more complicated as the closest supermarket is about two miles up the road. Cellular service is very good.

Anchorage is off main channel thoroughfare so wakes are received with few boaters being "that person". Serious shopping would require a car ride.
