Unfortunately like many FL anchorages there is now zero room due to semi-derelict part or full time liveaboards. One guy has several boats in the anchorage he seems to be renting. Another is permanent wet storage. Fl should really do something about this problem

Anchor on west side, up close to mangroves. Run a line to mangroves if staying long. Stay out of center of anchorage area due to speed boats transiting both day and night.
