Very calm night with breeze. Boat noved with the tides. Dinghied pup to Indian Key shoal. Solid sandbar where dog could run. At super low tide, our instruments said depth under boat was 2.7ft. At high tide it was 6.5ft. Had decent cell service Tmobile. We did leave VHF on and heard coast guard communications throughout night.

Next time I go a little farther in as we got waked at 3:30 am, enough to wake us up. Other than that a several fishing boats going out around 5 am it was a very peaceful spot. Anchor set first try an came up with about 10 pounds of mud and shells. Very little cell service. There is a sand bar not too far away, we don't have a dog, but easy access to get there.

Draft: 4.2'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:4Current Flow:3Wake Protection:3Scenic Beauty:5Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:1Pet Friendly:2There is significant current here and we anchored a bit northeast of the symbol for the anchorage in WWG with 3 other sailboats in approximately 11 feet of water. Decent wind protection except for wind from the west. There was a beach you could dingy to on Indian Key, but don't know if that is allowed, as this area is part of the Everglades National Park. We enjoyed a magnificent sunset that lasted much longer than usual, a show of stars in the evening sky with a new moon, Venus and Saturn, and loved the scenic beauty surrounding us! Great spot to spend a lovely evening! Loved it and would definitely come back.
