Very rural with lots of natural beauty.
In the evening all we could hear work birds.
Cell coverage is weak, but we were still able to stream Hulu in the evening.
I suspect we would not be as happy with this location if we had to get a pet to shore.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Review for Neuse River - South River (Eastman Creek)

Initially a moderate SE wind down the river with great holding and a little chop, but comfortable. 2nd night, at 3:30am, I woke up to motion 30 seconds before the anchor alarm went off on my phone. The wind had shifted 180 to the NW, blowing 20 kts directly up the river, and pushing me directly toward the lee shore. Took the 65lb. Mantus 10 or 20 feet to reset in the soft mud, putting me in 7 feet of water (just enough). I should have allowed a little more room between me and shore, but it worked out! Except for the occasional recreational fishing boat, had the river all to myself. Extremely peaceful and quiet!
