Well protected from the Atlantic swells by barrier islands. Anchorage is open so can get some wind. We had gusts in 20s and still very comfortable. Can dinghy to beach on Picnic Island or longer dinghy ride to narrow marked channel and into residential canals to go to Tiki Bar or walk short distance to Boondocks. Both are pet friendly. There is lots of small boat day traffic to Picnic Island.
