Review for Abrahams Bay-Low Point Pass (West End)

Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 45'
Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:3Holding:3Wind Protection:4Current Flow:5Wake Protection:3Scenic Beauty:5We stopped here intending to spend the night with a very early departure for the following morning. Be careful entering and exiting as some of the coral heads get close to the surface. Best to enter and exit in daylight. We did drag a bit before the anchor caught. Waves are knocked down by coral, but you still move on the anchor. Ideally you might use this anchorage when winds are from west to north. We cut the stay short as a weather window allowed us to leave at dusk and head straight to the DR.
