(It left before nightfall.) The location is relatively exposed in a tidal creek but we didn't have trouble with wind or holding. There were floating weeds that were easy enough to avoid; none got into my strainer. Easy access to land at the State Park dinghy dock, but I recommend anchoring closer if you plan to dinghy over. They are very dog friendly at the park. There's a small convenience store there that also sells tackle and bait. Restrooms are available, but no showers. There are no trash cans in the park; it's a "pack it out" park. The area is quiet and calm at night but full of fishermen early in the morning and in the evening; they don't care how much they wake your boat. There's also a Navy operation across the river that apparently does some sort of ordinance work, but they were not operating while we where there.
