We anchored north of the pier even with the trees on shore. This is the only beach that actually has a designated dog beach. We dinghy near shore dropped anchor and waded in waist deep water.

Review for Harbor Beach

Where the anchorage icon is located looks good but is completely choked with weeds extending all the way up to just below the surface. We anchored on the East Breakwater about 0.3 miles north of the lighthouse in 15 feet of water about 200 yards off the breakwater.. Holding was good on a sand bottom. Chain came up with some weeds but it was managable. Adequate cell phone reception. A long way from shore. We had a wind from the south and with winds over 10 kts the anchorage was a little bumpy but still tolerable. There was noise from the factory located in the harbor that continued through the night. Would stay here again but would be careful with any strong southerly winds.
