Good protection from winds south, west and north. There are no free dingy docks in town. Payed $10 for the full day of dingy docking privilege. Walmart and Lowes are two miles away. Uber was problematic. We called the local transit shuttle for a ride. We are over 60 so it was $1 per person each way. It appears as though a pet could be taken ashore at a nearby boat ramp. The salmon were running so there were lots of fishing boats in the bay. From the anchorage you can watch the S.S. Badger (the ferry) dock following it return from across Lake Michigan. The anchorage has good holding with a mud bottom.
